Hello Everyone!

I wanted to talk about my favourite skincare products, I have used Kiehls for a few years now so when I visited the counter in December they told me they have introduced a new facial service and asked if I would like to have a free one so I booked myself in for January after my holiday. For me I wear make up everyday because I don’t feel confident enough yet to not wear it in public, it sounds silly because I don’t wear it on holiday but I do in the UK!? so I want to get my skin looking glowy and have the confidence to be able to go out in summer wearing nothing but mascara!

I use their Ultra Facial range for my cleanse, tone and moisturiser but I wanted to see what else they would use on my skin to help it feel soft, smooth and hydrated. The great thing about this facial service is that its free!  you don’t have to buy anything afterwards if you don’t want too. The only thing I would say for you ladies (and gents too – their Facial Fuel & Razor bump relief has done wonders for Lee’s skin!) who like privacy is that they do the facial on the shop floor, for me this wasn’t an issue because as soon as I’m relaxed I totally zone out! but just a heads up for those of you who prefer it in a treatment room.

Step 1

My Kiehls representative was called Michelle, she was lovely and talked me through each step and what the products did so I knew what to do at home, so I am sharing this with you all today.  First of all Michelle did a skin test on me to see which skin type I had, I thought I had oily/combination but I was swaying more towards the oily side so she talked me through the products which were most relevant for my skin type, I have listed below and added a link to each one.

She used warm cotton pads on my face to cleanse then mixed the Pineapple & Papaya Facial Scrub and Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser together and applied to my face, each one can also be used on their own and she suggested for me to use the scrub in the shower and leave on for 3-5mins as a mini mask so the fruits can work their magic on your skin!

Step 2

She then applied the Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask to my T-zone to soak up those excess oils and the Tumeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radience Mask to my cheeks I really like the warming feel of this mask and my skin looked amazing afterwards so I purchased this and have since read amazing reviews on it.

Step 3

After relaxing for 10 minutes the masks had dried. Michelle wiped it away and applied the Calendula Alcohol Free Toner, (I am actually using the ultra facial toner at the moment but I am keen to try this one next as it is specifically for oily skin) She showed me my skin after this and it felt lovely and soft.

Step 4

She then applied the Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum which rehydrates your skin and prevents and smooths fine lines, it also reduces the look of dull, tired-looking skin that can be caused by age-related dehydration – perfect in these winter months!

Step 5

Next, she applied the Midnight Recovery Concentrate I have had a few testers of this product for the past few weeks and I love it, I wanted try it first before investing as it is pricier than the the other products but its so worth it, it smells amazing and your skin really does look better by the morning.

Step 6

To finish the facial, the Ultra Facial Cream  was applied which I have used for years and will not use anything else! My make up stays in place perfectly and looks dewy all day long when I wear this, the one with sunscreen in is also great for holiday. Michelle also used the Creamy Eye Treament with Avocado  and Butterstick Lip Treatment to finish.

I was really impressed with this facial and think its a great service to have in place for people like me who want to test the products before buying them, it was a pleasant experience and I now feel confident in what to buy for my skin type, I’ve already booked my next one for February!

I hope you enjoyed the post and feel free to ask me any questions!

Lots Of Love,

Nina x
